USP Storm 0 v13 Chelsea FC Blenheim Elite

The Academy’s Elite squad travelled to Essex to take on USP Storm, from the NFYL Premier 1, in the League Cup. Chelsea FC Blenheim had previously never progressed passed Round 2 so history beckoned. After just 3 minutes, in form, Dior found the back of the net and the day started as brightly as it could do. In a devastating 10 minute spell Chelsea FC Blenheim dictated possession and scored twice more, with Dior and Dani finding the goal. 4 more goals followed in possibly the best display of the season, with birthday girl Amber scoring, Amy P finishing well in the box and Dior scoring twice more for a first half 4 goal haul. The second half was more of the same, with Chelsea FC Blenheim dictating the game. Amber and Amy O scored again with Sophia and Charlotte also adding their names to the list of scorers. Amy W probably scored goal of the game, with a well worked short corner being floated home from 25 yards. Job done and history made, but the squads focus is on winning the Cup and not just making progress.
