Chelsea FC Blenheim 8v0 AFC Sudbury

Blenheim Chelsea returned to league action by lining up at home v AFC Sudbury on Wednesday. The second goal was a testament to the hard work the squad put into training, with 6 players coming from back to front for Alice to finish. After lots of work in the build up to the game on set piece routines, the girls were delighted when Matilda rose highest to meet a perfect corner from captain Mia to make the game 3-0 before half time.

The second half started much like the 1st, constant pressure from the home which led to Chelsea FC Blenheim's 4th. Dior won the ball from AFC Sudbury's throw found Mia well in space who showed outstanding quality to turn and play Amy P through, who scored to take the lead to 4-0. Chelsea FC Blenheim certainly earns their own luck for the 5th goal. A well worked move cannoning off the bar, only for the AFC Sudbury defender to miss hit her attempted clearance and find her own net. Dior added 2 goals in quick succession, with both goals coming from a pulsating run and calm finish. To finish the game, Alice added her 2nd by following up on a strong Amy W effort on goal, finishing with composure as she reacted first to a good save.

Overall, a very strong performance and result from the elite team as they continue their unbeaten home record.
