Chelsea FC Blenheim's Academy team returned to league action with an away trip to bottom of the league Arsenal. The game started with very little quality from both sides as they struggled to find their feet, however it was the home team who struck first taking advantage of a 1v1 againstEmilie and slotting home into the bottom corner well. Arsenal then doubled there lead within a matter of minutes after Chelsea FC Blenheim Academy lost possession in the defensive third andArsenal FC duly punished the mistake. The up hill task was then made even tougher for ChelseaFC Blenheim Academy as goalkeeper Emilie was stretched off with an ACL injury. Bonnie stepped up and donned the gloves and a shell shocked Chelsea FC Blenheim looked to grow in to the game creating a hat trick of chances. Amy W scored the first for Chelsea FC Blenheim after a beautiful first time pass from Sophie S, a great goal and game on.Great resilience shown from the Chelsea FC Blenheim academy side after being 2-0 down for the first time this season. 3 points away from home and still in the hunt for top spot.
